All students will be regularly assessed on the Academy Learning Concepts. Those who do not meet the required standards will receive additional support and instruction before their final assessments. Students who do not pass the testing will not receive a certificate of completion.

Prerequisites / Required Equipment

- Fugitive Recovery License: All participants must have a valid and active fugitive recovery license.

- Background Check: No felony convictions or domestic violence misdemeanors. A background check is mandatory.

- Vehicle: Access to an insured vehicle is required.

- Body Armor: A load-bearing vest or plate carrier with body armor is necessary.

- Duty Belt: A duty belt or tactical belt must be worn.

- Handgun: A full-size duty handgun (striker-fired or double action) is required.

- Magazines: Three (3) handgun magazines.

- Ammunition: 200 rounds of ammunition.

- Cleaning Kit: A handgun cleaning kit.

- Personal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses, ear protection, and a hat or head cover.

- Flashlight: A reliable flashlight.

- Binoculars: Binoculars are needed.

- Clothing: Both tactical and plain clothes are required.

- Supplies: Water bottle and snacks for personal use.

Fitness Standards

- Physical Condition: Participants must be in good physical shape. To successfully complete the scenario-based training, it is recommended that students meet the following minimum physical fitness standards:

- Run 1 mile in under 11:00 minutes.

- Complete 15 push-ups.

- Complete 15 air squats (90 degree)

- Complete 1 pull-up.
