Course Overview:
Join Joint Tactical Consulting for an intensive three-day training program designed to enhance your surveillance capabilities. This hands-on course covers a wide range of essential surveillance fundamentals, including static and mobile surveillance, foot surveillance, small team dynamics, and effective contingency planning. Attendees will gain practical knowledge on how to conduct surveillance for operations such as fugitive apprehension, investigation building, tracker deployments, buy/busts, and wiretap cases.
Joint Tactical Consulting specializes in providing high-level training for law enforcement, ensuring that participants are provided with the skills needed to execute and document successful surveillance operations. The course will cover documentation practices, understanding liability considerations, and pre-planning strategies for law enforcement surveillance operations. Through realistic, scenario-based exercises, you'll sharpen your ability to plan, execute, and document surveillance operations.
Required Equipment:
To ensure you get the most out of the Advanced Surveillance Techniques training, please bring the following essential items:
Undercover Vehicle: Department-issued or personal vehicle suitable for undercover operations. Students with marked patrol vehicles will be partnered up during training exercises.
Law Enforcement Credentials/Badge: For identification during training scenarios.
Smartphone: Must be capable of installing required applications (iOS or Android).
Department/Agency Radio
Civilian Clothing: Weather-appropriate attire (no open-toe shoes or shorts). Comfortable, durable clothing is highly recommended for field exercises.
Duty Gear: Ballistic vest, duty belt (without live firearms), ballistic helmet (if issued). All gear should be suitable for operational training scenarios.
Notepad: For documenting key information during exercises.
Snacks & Water: Stay hydrated and energized throughout the course.
Suggested Equipment:
For an enhanced training experience, you may also bring the following:
Binoculars & Digital Camera: For observation and documentation during surveillance drills.
Laptop with Internet Access: Wifi will be provided, and laptops are useful for digital documentation and tracking exercises.
Agency GPS Tracker: If available, bring your agency’s GPS tracker for hands-on exercises involving device deployment and monitoring.
Headphones: Able to connect to your phone (air pods, earbuds, etc.)
